Whether you’re just thinking about starting to try and are nervous about the process, or are already in the midst of treatments, we’ve seen almost everything.

For the last 20 years, our Fertility Specialist Steve Mavros, L.OM. has helped thousands of women and couples conceive as both a fertility acupuncturist and a fertility coach. Confused about whether to start IVF or keep trying on your own? Want to learn ways to regulate your menstrual cycle? Trying to figure out the best ways to prepare before you come off the pill and start trying to conceive? Fertility navigation is a great place to start. Your initial visit is always via Telehealth, so you can do it from anywhere in the US or Canada.

What’s Included in Fertility Navigation?

1

60 Minute Consult

Steve will walk you through an in depth health history, which can be solo or include your partner. You’ll focus not only on the menstrual cycle but all aspects of your health.

2

Lifestyle Modifications

Sometimes the most subtle changes can have an effect on your fertility and we’ll help you find the most cost-effective modifications to get you further down the path.

3

Nutritional & Supplement Guidance

There’s a ton of research out there, as well as thousands of single anecdotes for everything from CoQ10 to McDonald’s French Fries. We’ve done the hard work for you and can give you the best advice for what supplements and diet can work for your circumstance and your body.

4

Acupuncture & Complementary Medicine Plans

We’re a little partial to Acupuncture but there are many treatments from Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction to Mayan Abdominal Massage that can boost your conception chances. We’ll help you come up with a plan that fits your needs and your budget.

5

Assisted Reproductive Advice

Steve has helped thousands of patients navigate the reproductive medicine world for the last 20 years. Sometimes just talking to someone who knows what you’re about to go through can be of tremendous value, as well as knowing if what you’re doing is worth the investment or the risks.

6

Physician Referrals

From being in the field for so long we’ve learned that sometimes you need a certain type of physician for a certain type of patient. We’ve made many connections throughout the years across the country and world and can help guide you to the people that fit your situation best.

A Health First Approach

We provide a Health First approach to conception and infertility. We focus both on helping you conceive as well as thinking about how the things preventing you from conceiving will affect you long after your baby is born and into parenthood.

If your cycles are irregular or painful, or you’ve been diagnosed with PCOS, Endometriosis, Type II Diabetes, Diminished Ovarian Reserve, etc., the first thing we do is get your body healthy.

Same goes for male fertility. Studies show an increase in mortality among men with low or no sperm count, so finding the root cause is key for both sperm and health.

"In addition to the physiological benefits acupuncture offered, the support, expertise, and confidence Steve instilled in me during my cycle provided invaluable stress relief and optimism that was critical to the cycle’s success!"

FAQs

Should I do Fertility Navigation or an Initial Acupuncture Visit?

It all depends on if you have a plan. If you’re about to start IVF or have regular cycles and know when to try but want to add Acupuncture, just set up an Initial Acu visit. If you’re just figuring out when and how to start trying, or you’re at a crossroads as to what to do next, that is when Fertility Navigation can really be of help. Plus, if you then decide to start Acupuncture, your first visit is counted as a Follow Up visit (not an Initial) since we already have a plan and just need to start treatment.

Can I do a Fertility Navigation if I’m doing Acupuncture at a different clinic?

Absolutely! Steve can go through everything you’ve been doing to this point and provide a road map going forward. You can either take that plan and share it with your current practitioner or come to HAC for your treatments if you live in Southeastern PA. Either way works!

How much does it cost?

Initial Fertility Navigation (1 hour): $195
Follow Up Consults (30 Mins): $95
