Acupuncture for Kids - Pediatrics

According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, there’s strong research for acupuncture helping children with basic problems like pain & headaches/migraines to more complex things like bed wetting and neurological disorders such as seizures. In tweens and teens we can help with focus problems from ADD/ADHD plus hormonal shifts, irregular periods, acne, anxiety, or depression.

Believe it or not most kids over 5 do well with Acupuncture. Our team can also provide kid safe Herbal medicines, cupping and other non-needle techniques to supplement or to be used in lieu of needle Acupuncture.

Acupuncture has been shown to:

  • Reduce pain including body pain, headaches, migraines, or during growth spurts

  • Help manage stress and balance the mood swings from anxiety, depression, ADD & ADHD

  • Reduce childhood persistent allergic rhinitis

  • Regulate bowel movements from excess diarrhea or constipation

  • Reduce quantity and soothe asthma attacks when combined with adequate medical therapy

  • Prevent and reduce severity of some seizure disorders

  • Promote restfulness and sleep
