FAQ
How often do I need treatment?
For menstrual or hormonal issues, usually weekly for at least 2-3 full menstrual cycles. Consistent treatment is important so specific hormonal adjustments can be made at each week of the cycle. Every week is a significant opportunity to heal a particular segment of the four-phase menstrual cycle (menstruation, follicular phase, ovulation and luteal phase). For pain and dysfunction, a course will be determined at your initial visit as every person is different, but usually 1-2 times per week for a course of 4-8 weeks.
When during my cycle should I start?
Since we break the cycle up into phases, we can start at any time and begin shifting that phase of the cycle. For those looking to affect the current cycle we usually recommend 2 treatments during the first week to kick start the effects of the acupuncture.
