Trying Naturally

Before taking the jump to using oral medications or doing IUI’s or IVF, trying on your own with Acupuncture and herbs is a great option. As long as there is nothing physically impeding you from getting pregnant (e.g., tubal blockage or problematic uterine environment), Acupuncture can generally help regulate your cycle and optimize every month’s chance of being the one that works.

We can help walk you through the basics:

  • The right times of the month to try

  • Using ovulation kits and temperature trackers that actually help

  • Acupuncture to promote blood flow, ease stress and increase the success of each cycle

  • Supplements and Chinese Herbal medicines to promote strong ovulation and regulate the cycle

  • Dietary / Nutritional changes to get you on the right track

  • Advice on how to balance work with exercise, mindfulness, and other stress relievers to get your body ready to be pregnant.

  • When it's time to go see a fertility specialist and which one is the right one for you.

FAQs

How often do I need treatment?

For women, consistent treatment is important so specific hormonal adjustments can be made at each week of the cycle. Every week is a significant opportunity to heal a particular segment of the four-phase menstrual cycle (menstruation, follicular phase, ovulation and luteal phase).

Do you treat men who have low sperm?

Absolutely. Acupuncture and herbs have been shown to raise sperm counts and increase sperm motility for oligospermia. Acupuncture has its limits though. If a man is born without sperm, or has azoospermia, there's not much we can do. For male factor, a typical course of 10 weeks can do the trick, as it usually takes a full sperm generating cycle (approx 72 days).

When during my cycle should I start?

Since we break the cycle up into phases, we can start at any time and begin shifting that phase of the cycle. We usually recommend 2 treatments during the first week to kick start the effects of the acupuncture.
